Most of apps available on stores could be better. Much better. They don’t even support proper play of EVP in background, what makes them f.e. stop after playing for few minutes with screen turned off. Usually they are also unstable what can ruin your long-running sessions, when your recording is corrupted, just because app stopped unexpectedly.

Apps available on the store also miss functionality that most of other audio apps have – proper use of Android’s Foreground service, notifications, controlling app from the lock screen, media / headset buttons etc.
